Up on the side of the mountain, there was so much destruction of the old forest trees, but it was needed for the new construction of a whole new tract of homes. All of the new homes had heated bathroom floors and heated towel bars. They also featured induction cooking stoves.

i use to hate when people who made goodbye posts on message boards.
why would they think that just because you no longer post on a chevy truck forum or a los angeles lakers forum the world would crumble around those still left there.
this place is definitely different.
(No longer) Confused and Alone,
I've enjoyed your posts. lol
Thank you for the opportunity we all had to get to know you.
(((Hugs))) from me and mine, to you and yours!

last sunday my wife and i went walking in the cheviot hills in the beautiful northumberland national park not far from our home.
we have walked a lot of the cheviots in recent months and intend to get around a lot more over the summer.. this week we decided to go up a few of the smaller hills in the north of the park so we headed for a peak known as yeavering bell.
it was used as a hill fort since the iron age.
Cofty , I can't imagine living in an area of such beauty and history as you. No matter where you look, something "happened' there.
You live really close to where the Battle of Flodden was. Since
you are a local do you call it that or the Battle of Branxton?
Last Sept was their 500th anniversary of the battle where King James lV of Scotland died , along with so many noble heads of families.
Have you seen what is left of the arch of the old medieval church said to have been where King James lV body was laid after this epic battle?
In the area you live, are the school children taught about their ancient history? Are there local family's who can trace their heritage a long way back?
Are you aware if there are any Summer Solstice activities coming up in the area?
Your area looks so peaceful belying all the battles and fighting that has gone on in that area, in the ancient past.

no one really expects 'perfection' of their fellow humans, even of those in high station.
our past president, bill clinton certainly demonstrated that men in high station can and do give into acts that are not accepted by the public at large.
likewise, i doubt anyone expects that joseph rutherford would be perfect, but we would expect that as a human, he had his ways.. what about "true" spiritual leaders?
Here is some info about Rutherford I did not know.

When John Williams composed the 1975 blockbuster movie Jaws, it needed dramatic music with suspense. How would we the terrified audience know when the man eating killer shark was coming?
Williams wove cadence, interspersed with leitmotif, to let us know when to grip our seat or our boyfriends hand that Jaws was coming!
What unforgetable harmony John Williams evoked for everyone who ever watched and listened.

someone suggested i post an introductory thread.
i am a married, rather young grandma of four precious rugrats, ages 2-9. i guess our only child son and his only child wife didn't want their own kids to be "onlies".
my other half and i married rather young (18 &22) and will be celebrating 31 years together this summer.. i am sort of add, keep thinking i am still 28, love my husband now more than ever, and am so glad i woke up and left the crazy cult.. my husband and i began studying months after marrying and then decided to take the dunk.
Oh Wow Forest Heathen. You have learned how to live and are doing it!
Good for you and your family.

a lawyer once told me, "everything you say can and will be twisted against you in a court of law.".
a situation came up that recalled yet another act of jw justice.
another person commented to me regarding the above, "no doubt this little axiom more than applies in judicial committee meetings too.
Resigning in July, held over until they announce in Nov that this bro is now deleted, partnered with a "Special Needs" talk on child molestation, was cruel.
JW's would of course think the Elder's were warning the congo about this truly innocent brother.
I keep telling myself, this is just a Big Boys Club for a man made up religion, but still, to intentionally cause another deliberate harm!
So sad. So wrong.

maybe this was already covered here.
i've been absent a bit more than usual.. at qualcomm stadium, home of the chargers and the "special arrangement" with san diego which means they use the venue for free, you are not allowed to bring a tarp in the 80 degree sunshine, nor a large umbrella.. mercifully however, you may bring a small one person umbrella you can hold or perhaps vice to the seat, but if someone asks you to take it down, you are to oblige.
san diego is freaking out over this i can assure you.
AnnaB ... Dodger Stadium in 1971 July had 83,000 attendance. It took an hour to get out of the parking lot.
